My path wasn't linear. It was a step by step journey of reinventing myself time and time again, in different countries and professional industries. Now I harness all of these professional skills to guide you through your expat journey.

Social Work Sensitivity

Master’s in social work, with years of experience supporting people through complex and sensitive situations.

Relocation Experience

Four international moves across three continents. I've lived the transition multiple times myself and deeply understand the expat hardships.

Career Flexibility

I’ve changed my career path four times to adapt to new realities and my personal preferences.

Sagy introducing himself beside the welcome message.

Hi! I'm Sagy.

I am 42 years old, married and a father of two.

The first time I moved abroad was to Dakar, Senegal back in 2015. It was a lot to take in and I was very optimistic about my professional development there, among other things. I figured that as a social worker with social entrepreneurship experience in Africa, I'm bound to find a job there, right?

Wrong. I didn't account for some very basic things like language requirements. I don't speak French, let alone Wollof, Jola or any of the other local languages. Even if I did, I didn't have a work permit there which I took for granted in my home country. Looking back, I took many things for granted, which was a mistake. A very natural and human thing to do, but still a mistake.

I was so stressed in the months around the move. There were so many tasks! Some had clear deadlines. Others didn't, but still they were very important. For example, we didn't know that some important vaccinations need multiple doses. It's a good thing we checked in advance and got all the required vaccinations but this could have slipped away if we didn't have someone who pointed it out to us.

We've been through a lot over the years. I have changed my professional path multiple times. I started as a social worker, then in Senegal I helped expat spouses find career jobs abroad. When we moved to Germany I retrained and became a programmer. I worked in tech companies in Berlin and then in Tel Aviv when we moved back to Israel. Eventually I wanted to do something that allowed me to earn enough money while working part time so I could spend more time with my kids. I retrained again and started lecturing about proper use of AI tools.

It was difficult to reinvent myself time and time again, but I've learned a lot. Over the years I have supported hundreds of other expats and expat spouses in settling into their new lives. I've learned a lot from their journeys as well. Something that stood out is that almost all of us are facing somewhat similar difficulties yet try to solve them by ourselves. It's like we're all trying to reinvent the wheel, when so many others have already done that before… Such a sad waste of effort that leads to so many unnecessary complications and difficulties.

Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to help people. Helping patients, building helpful products, teaching students - I help people wherever I can. When we moved to China, I was again surrounded by the expat community and saw so many people experiencing difficulties that I can help with. That is why I've decided to make another professional shift. I took everything I've learned and accomplished so far and put it to use helping my fellow expats and expat spouses.

I'll be delighted to help you too.
