Privacy Policy for Glance Dictionary

Glance Dictionary does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your vocabulary, categories, or widget settings.

The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, account systems, or server-side storage.

Optional in-app translation uses Google ML Kit, which may send Google limited performance and usage metrics about that feature. Glance Dictionary does not receive that information. See the In-App Translation section below for details.

Glance Dictionary stores the information you enter only on your device so the app can provide its vocabulary widget features. This may include:

• Words and translations you add
• Vocabulary categories you create
• Widget display settings, such as font size, column count, selected categories, and collapsed categories
• Downloaded translation models for language pairs you use with the in-app translation feature

This information is stored locally using Android app storage. It is not sent to the developer (Sagy), Restart Abroad or to any third party by Glance Dictionary.

Depending on your Android device settings, the Android operating system may back up local app data through system backup features. Any such backup is controlled by your device and Google account settings, not by Glance Dictionary.

Glance Dictionary uses Google's ML Kit on-device Translation API to provide optional in-app translation when you add or edit words.

The first time you use a language pair, the app downloads the translation model for that pair from Google's servers to your device. After the model is downloaded, translation runs on your device only. The words and text you translate are not sent to Glance Dictionary, Restart Abroad, or to Google for translation processing.

ML Kit may contact Google servers from time to time to download updated models, deliver bug fixes, or provide other technical updates. ML Kit may also send Google performance and usage metrics about how the translation feature runs in the app. Glance Dictionary does not use ML Kit to collect your vocabulary, categories, or widget settings.

Google's handling of information related to ML Kit is described in Google's ML Kit Terms & Privacy documentation at https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms and in the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Glance Dictionary does not request Android runtime permissions and does not request access to sensitive device data such as location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, SMS, call logs, advertising ID, or health data.

Glance Dictionary includes a user-initiated link to https://joinrestartabroad.com. When you tap that link, it opens outside the app through your browser or another app selected by your device. Your use of that external website is governed by that website's privacy practices, not this Privacy Policy.

Glance Dictionary does not embed third-party web content in the app. Aside from the in-app translation feature described above and the user-initiated link to Restart Abroad, Glance Dictionary does not use third-party services to collect your vocabulary or widget data.

Because Glance Dictionary does not collect your vocabulary or widget data, we do not use that information for analytics, advertising, profiling, marketing, or any other external purpose.

Information stored locally on your device is used only to provide app functionality, including displaying your saved words, translations, categories, and widget settings, and—when you choose to use it—generating on-device translations through Google ML Kit.

Glance Dictionary does not share your vocabulary, categories, or widget settings with the developer (Sagy), Restart Abroad, service providers, advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or any other third party.

As described in the In-App Translation section, Google ML Kit may send Google limited performance and usage metrics about the translation feature. That exchange does not include the words you translate.

Your words, translations, categories, and settings remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

Downloaded translation models remain on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.

Glance Dictionary does not maintain user accounts and does not store your vocabulary or widget data on developer-operated servers. Because that information is not collected by the developer, there is no server-side user data for the developer to delete.

Glance Dictionary is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's data practices change or to reflect legal or policy requirements. If the app begins collecting, transmitting, sharing, or processing user data beyond local on-device storage, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declarations should be updated before publishing that version.
